Tony's resignation

Will Tony Blair resign at conference this year or sometime next year? He won't want to go when everybody is expecting it (conference) or on the back of bad news (the next local elections).

I believe that his relationship with Gordon Brown has broken down and leaving Gordon enough to time to bed in is not one of his concerns. He doesn't care about Gordon Brown being elected in a general election, especially with all the Labour members trying to remove him. It would enhance his position historically if Labour was not re-elected. Thus his legacy is, Labour could only be elected with his leadership.
